The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palermo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stiches is fending him off so far but Palermo persists. Nope, Stiches circles away and we're back to standing.
Mac Stiches seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Palermo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stiches.
Palermo fails with the takedown.
Stiches rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Palermo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Stiches using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Palermo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Nice body punch from Stiches - that landed with a thud.
Palermo is pressed against the cage. Stiches pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Palermo! Two more big strikes from Stiches and Palermo crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
