and Billiards counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

It looks like Billiards might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Grant closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Billiards regains half guard there - taking advantage of Grant's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Grant wants to advance to full mount but Billiards doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Grant avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Billiards working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grant doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grant manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Grant wants to get up but he can't break Billiards's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Grant is posturing up here but Billiards has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Grant tries to roll out but it's too tight and Grant has to tap! Slick submission there by Billiards!
