The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Smith takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Nice sprawl there from Brewer as Smith shoots in.
Brewer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Smith takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Smith looks gassed!

Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Brewer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smith thinking.
Jerry Brewer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nolan Smith.
Brewer lands a nice shot to the body.
A jab from Brewer does it's job there.
Brewer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Brewer connects with a body shot that sends Smith's belly button to the back.
Brewer lands with a shot to the body.
Brewer finds Smith's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Smith flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Brewer lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Smith will be OK.
