The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Thompson swings for the body but Coughlin moves out of range.
Coughlin throws a head kick but Thompson moves out of range.

Coughlin has Thompson up against the cage in a clinch.

It looks like Enoch Thompson has been cut.

Coughlin goes for a takedown attempt but Thompson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Thompson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Coughlin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Thompson stops Coughlin from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Coughlin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Thompson is now in Coughlin's guard. A big mistake from Coughlin there, giving up the dominant position!

Thompson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coughlin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thompson has managed to get both his arms back between Coughlin's legs - danger averted.

Thompson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
