PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mack Donalds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sephiroth Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donalds comes to the cage accompanied by god's gonna cut you down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donalds misses with a low kick.
Donalds keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cooper checks a low kick from Donalds.
Cooper looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Donalds moves in looking to clinch but Cooper pushes him off.
Donalds scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Cooper tries for a takedown but Donalds sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Donalds tries to bum rush Cooper with a series of wild strikes but Cooper uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Donalds tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cooper paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Donalds lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Donalds breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cooper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Donalds's waist but Donalds gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cooper off to one side.
Mack Donalds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sephiroth Cooper.

Donalds wants to clinch.
Cooper dives in and grabs Donalds's left leg, looking for a takedown. Donalds pushes down on Cooper's head and hops out.

Donalds tries to lock up and control but Cooper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cooper has hold of Donalds's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Donalds manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Donalds on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Donalds tries to get out of the position.

Donalds is controlling an arm, preventing Cooper from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Donalds is looking to improve his position but Cooper isn't that keen on the idea.

Donalds wants to hold on but Cooper pushes him away.

Donalds is squirming around, avoiding Cooper's attempts to control the action.

Donalds wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cooper.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cooper tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mack Donalds will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Donalds lands a really nice looking cross but Cooper seems unphased.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Donalds lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cooper has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cooper and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Donalds gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cooper to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cooper passes Donalds's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Cooper uses his free foot to push down on Donalds's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Donalds.

Cooper goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Donalds turns into him and now he's in Cooper's guard.

Cooper fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Donalds avoids it really well and circles away.

Cooper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Donalds swivels and escapes.
Donalds walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cooper checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Donalds, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
