The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson looks for a takedown but Makarov sprawls well.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Makarov sprawls well. Makarov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nelson gets slowly back to his feet.

Nelson drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nelson postures up in Makarov's guard and throws a big left but Makarov blocks it.
Makarov pulls Nelson in close to prevent any damage.
Nelson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Nelson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Makarov's head.
Makarov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nelson is one step ahead there.

Makarov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Nelson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Makarov is looking to defend but Nelson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Makarov! Nelson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Makarov taps out and this one is all over!
