PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gusandall Ingunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ingunn is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Darkcore . Gusandall Ingunn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gusandall Ingunn!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ingunn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brown.
Ingunn shoots for a double leg takedown but Brown sprawls well. He's pushed Ingunn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brown throws a head kick but Ingunn moves out of range.
Brown slaps away a takedown attempt from Ingunn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Brown fails with a takedown attempt.
Ingunn shoots in but no luck this time.
Chris Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gusandall Ingunn.

Ingunn shoots in and bounces Brown off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Brown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Brown seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Brown works his way into side control.
Brown trying to control the position but Ingunn is working away.
Brown tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Brown wants to control for a moment but Ingunn uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Ingunn is staying active underneath Brown, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Brown not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ingunn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brown.

Brown wants to take a breather but Ingunn is having none of it.

Brown is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brown is trying to control. Ingunn wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Chris Brown has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Some bone on bone action there as Brown checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Brown throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ingunn circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ingunn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ingunn gets slowly back to his feet.
Brown throws a head kick that misses.
Ingunn attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Brown dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ingunn closes the distance and clinches up with Brown, looking for a takedown. Ingunn pushes Brown against the cage but Brown circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ingunn.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brown stuffs the takedown.
Chris Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gusandall Ingunn.
Brown wants to clinch up but Ingunn keeps it at a distance.
A head kick from Brown lands but Ingunn takes it in his stride.

Ingunn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brown as he jumps to the side.

Ingunn drives through with a takedown into Brown's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown is looking for a triangle but Ingunn pushes his legs off easily.

Brown controls Ingunn momentarily but Ingunn frees himself.
Ingunnis looking to pass into half guard but Brown pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Brown is in guard.
Brown wants to control from the top but Ingunn keeps moving.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Brown trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ingunn's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Brown.
Ingunn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Ingunn shows good takedown defense.
Ingunn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away.

Brown displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ingunn.
Ingunn doesn't manage to clinch there - Brown circles away.
Brown throws a right and a left that both miss.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ingunn as he avoids it easily.
Ingunn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brown sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ingunn somewhat.
Ingunn takes a kick to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Brown lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ingunn's sensitive parts.
Brown takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ingunn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Brown will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Brown blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Ingunn tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brown just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ingunn creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Brown's defenses.

Brown drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brown is trying to maintain a safe position but Ingunn gets an underhook and turns Brown into the cage.
Ingunn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Brown is trying to drag Ingunn to the mat but Ingunn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A frustrated look appears on Brown's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Brown tries to pull guard but Ingunn holds him up against the cage and eventually Brown drops back down to his feet.

Ingunn is trying to drag Brown to the mat but Brown just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Brown manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Ingunn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ingunn content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Ingunn with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Brown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ingunn is aware though and is defending well.
Brown controls Ingunn momentarily but Ingunn frees himself.
Ingunn is working Brown over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ingunn connects with a couple of short punches.
Ingunn postures up and lands a big shot to Brown's brow.
Ingunn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.


Brown is rocked!

Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ingunn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ingunn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Oh Brown is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ingunn postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Ingunn stands up over Brown, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Ingunn arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Brown's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Gusandall Ingunn!
