Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolex Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warren comes to the cage accompanied by Caught Somewhere in Time -- Iron Maiden . Gracie has chosen Flying Submissions as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Warren as he avoids it easily.
Warren throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gracie swings away with a body shot that misses

and Warren counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gracie won't be happy with that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Warren advances to full mount.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Warren cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Warren shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gracie is trying to defend but Warren finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Warren throws and elbow that misses. Gracie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Warren's guard. Nice move by Gracie!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Gracie tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Gracie throws out a loose jab but Warren uses good head movement to avoid it.
Warren throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Warren scores with a sloppy right hand. Gracie should have avoided that one.
Warren slips a straight right by Gracie.

Warren fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Warren is now in Gracie's guard.

Warren is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around?

Warren feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Warren changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lewis Warren is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Warren seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Warren's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Warren seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
