Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ra checks a low kick from Ranallo.
Ranallo with a lazy takedown attempt
and Ra counters with a single leg into guard. Ranallo didn't expect that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Ra throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ranallo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ra won't allow Ranallo to sweep him here.
Ra with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Ranallo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ranallo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ra is one step ahead there.

Ra lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Ra postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ra throws and elbow that misses. Ranallo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ra's guard. Nice move by Ranallo!
Ranallo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ra manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ranallo manages to get himself to full guard.
Ra pushing down on Ranallo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ra connects with a nice short shot to Ranallo's temple.
Ranallo is breathing heavily.
Ra seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Ra is trying to control the action in half guard but Ranallo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Nice strikes from Ra there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ranallo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ra softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Ranallo is out cold! Ra jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amun Ra!
Amun Ra decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
