Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carmelo Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carmelo Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy throws a jab but it's blocked by Sanchez.
Murphy checks a leg kick nicely.
Sanchez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sanchez throws a low kick but Murphy moves out of range easily.
Sanchez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Murphy.
Sanchez throws a low kick but Murphy avoids it.
Sanchez wants to land a leg kick but Murphy is out of range.
Sanchez throws a head kick that misses.
Sanchez lands with a kick to the temple. Murphy shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Murphy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez avoids it really well and circles away.

and Sanchez counters with a low kick, right behind Murphy 's knee.
A looping hook to the body misses from Murphy. Sanchez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sanchez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Murphy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sanchez scrambles back to his feet.
Sanchez motions for Murphy to come forward. Sanchez throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sanchez slaps away a takedown attempt from Murphy, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Sanchez feints and then cracks Murphy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Murphy down.
Murphy dives in and grabs Sanchez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes down on Murphy's head and hops out.

Sanchez throws the kick towards the body but Murphy avoids it.

I would just about give that final round to Carmelo Sanchez.
Well Sanchez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
