The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delo Santos darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Delo Santos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cantrell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Delo Santos defends it nicely.
Delo Santos moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Delo Santos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Delo Santos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cantrell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Delo Santos.
Delo Santos's corner calls for a 1-2. Delo Santos obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Delo Santos throws a head kick but Cantrell moves out of range.

Cantrell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Delo Santos's guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Christian Cantrell just wasn't active enough.
Cantrell drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Diego Delo Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Delo Santos throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Cantrell colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Delo Santos as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Cantrell is left battered and dazed whilst Delo Santos and his camp cheer!
