The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry lands with a good body shot.
Perry throws a nice looking combination but Paskaks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Paskaks swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Perry counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Paskaks wants to control but Perry is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Perry in particular looking to stall.
Paskaks looks like he's trying to stand up.
Perry seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Paskaks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Perry is working away from the top position though.

Perry seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Paskaks for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Paskaks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Perry circles away quickly and effectively.

and Paskaks counters with a nice uppercut.

Perry closes the distance and pushes Paskaks back into the cage.

Perry digs a right hand into Paskaks's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Paskaks's gas tank.

Perry throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Perry digs a right hand underneath Paskaks's ribcage. Paskaks let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Perry is pressed up against the cage. Paskaks has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Perry down to the mat. Perry avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Perry connects with a superb combination that knocks Paskaks out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Perry before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Paskaks!
