Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Davis Bushby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keyboard Cat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cat has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davis Bushby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keyboard Cat!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bushby fails with the takedown.
Bushby throws a head kick that misses.
Cat takes a swing at Bushby's ribcage but misses.
Bushby uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cat.
Bushby closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cat circles away.

Bushby looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Cat is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cat is looking for a kimura here.

Cat seems to be looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cat wants to pass to mount but Bushby is defending the position.

Bushby makes his way to full guard, as Cat worked for a kimura.
Bushby manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cat manages to get himself to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cat looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bushby stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cat swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cat is trying to control the position but Bushby postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bushby trying to control but Cat is working from the bottom.
Cat wants to sweep but no luck.
Bushby wants to control from the top but Cat keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bushby looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bushby shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Cat waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Bushby.
Bushby looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cat is fending him off so far but Bushby persists. Nope, Cat circles away and we're back to standing.

Cat closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cat lands in his opponent's guard.

Cat sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bushby's guard.
Bushby has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cat is working away from the top position though.
Cat seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bushby does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bushby blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cat.

Cat is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bushby is looking to control Cat's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bushby avoid being mounted?

Cat is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keyboard Cat dominated that round.
That's time! Bushby's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Cat counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bushby is trying to keep Cat in close.
Bushby keeping moving, preventing Cat from controlling successfully.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cat must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cat scoring with punches to the head and body.
Cat trying to control the position from guard on top but Bushby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cat postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bushby is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cat, into his guard.

Bushby passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Cat is looking for a sweep.
Cat is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Cat is not content to let Bushby control the position.
Cat is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Cat gets full guard.
Bushby stopping the sweep attempt from Cat.

Cat is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cat wants to sweep but no luck.
Cat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bushby would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bushby won't allow Cat to sweep him here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cat tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bushby paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cat tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Bushby counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cat!
Bushby can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cat is looking to escape.
Cat working to try and regain half guard.
Cat manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Bushby wants to take a breather but Cat is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Keyboard Cat will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Bushby is staying active underneath Cat, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bushby tries to clinch up but Cat circles away and keeps his distance.

and Cat counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Cat throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bushby works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cat in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bushby is on top in guard.

Cat striking off his back but it's not causing Bushby any problems.
Cat thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Keyboard Cat comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cat has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
