Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyotoson Machsilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jimmy Smith has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jimmy Smith seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Machsilva tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Machsilva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Smith sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Machsilva's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smith tries to pass the half guard into mount. Machsilva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Machsilva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Smith's face.

Machsilva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Smith throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Machsilva escapes and throws Smith's legs to the side, diving into side control!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Smith is looking for a sweep.
Smith is not content to let Machsilva control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lyotoson Machsilva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Smith shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Smith showed some decent athleticism there.

Smith drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Machsilva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smith has Machsilva in his guard.

Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Machsilva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Machsilva stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Machsilva gets caught flat footed, as Smith shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Smith had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Machsilva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Smith Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Machsilva's back instead.

Machsilva is in a bad position with Smith working for a choke. Machsilva manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

I would just about give that final round to Lyotoson Machsilva.
Well Machsilva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
