The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez with a nice cross.

Hart shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Perez is refusing to be controlled, as Hart sits in half guard.
Perez wants to improve his position but Hart is controlling well.

Hart seems to be working for a kimura but Perez defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Perez looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hart is keen to just control but Perez is a slippery customer.
Perez wants to get back to his feet.

Hart sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Perez defending well though.
Hart really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Perez pushes Hart off looking to stand but Hart dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because jj Hart just wasn't active enough.
Perez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hart as he avoids it easily.
Perez shoots in looking for a takedown. Hart tries to sprawl out of it but Perez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hart manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hart has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Perez's face.
