Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Arran Keates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, James Morrison!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morrison closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Keates's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Morrison postures up in Keates's guard and throws a big left but Keates blocks it.
Keates will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Keates working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Morrison.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Morrison is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Keates really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Morrison is trying to control the position from the bottom.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Keates fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Morrison takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Morrison closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Morrison has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Keates is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Morrison yanks on the arm and Keates is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Morrison.
