The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Matter. Those never looked like landing.

Oliveira shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Matter defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Oliveira.
Matter is desperately trying to improve his position but Oliveira has a good base and remains in mount.
Oliveira is trying to take his opponent's back.

Oliveira looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Matter wants to hold on but Oliveira pushes him away.
Matter tries to reverse the position but Oliveira maintains control.
Oliveira lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Matter is working to get back to half guard.
Matter slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Matter missing with punches from the bottom.
Oliveira thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Matter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oliveira looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Matter decides to stand up, so the ref orders Oliveira to his feet.
Matter works over Oliveira's head and body with a nice combination.
Matter lands a jab-cross combination.
Matter misses with a double jab.
Matter throws a series of punches but Oliveira moves out of range.
Matter lands a glancing blow to the side of Oliveira's head.

Matter moves into range and clinches up with Oliveira.

Matter pulls Oliveira into guard.

Matter is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Oliveira frees his head nicely. Oh but Matter has switched to an armbar! Oliveira is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
