The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordeau is looking to clinch but Russian is avoiding it.
Russian on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Gordeau misses with a straight right.
Gordeau stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gordeau wants it to stay on the feet.
Russian tries for a takedown but Gordeau sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gordeau connects with the punch.

It looks like Egor Russian has been cut.
Russian shoots in looking for a takedown. Gordeau tries to sprawl out of it but Russian keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gordeau manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gerard Gordeau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Egor Russian.

Russian tries to clinch there but Gordeau circles away.
Russian fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gordeau thuds his right hand into Russian's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Gordeau throws a good cross that connects.

Gordeau sends Russian crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Gordeau is motioning to the referee to let Russian up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Russian is rocked!

That has opened up Egor Russian's cut even more.
Gordeau cracks Russian with a left hook right on the temple and Russian goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Gordeau lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Russian is OK!
