Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cpl. Rocco Barbella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Wolfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocco Barbella and Junior Wolfe. The crowd seem to be enjoying Wolfe's choice of entrance music: The Ramones - Blitzkreig Bop!. Junior Wolfe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbella checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Barbella buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wolfe doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Barbella connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wolfe looks to throw a body kick
and Barbella counters with a body kick.
Wolfe takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Wolfe walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Barbella wants to clinch up but Wolfe keeps it at a distance.

Barbella rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wolfe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wolfe crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Barbella - the referee stops the clock and Wolfe gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Barbella. Wolfe manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
