Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricco El Suave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas is trying hard to land a takedown here. El Suave sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Thomas moves out of range of the strikes.
El Suave misses with a hook
so Thomas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Thomas wants to control from the top but El Suave keeps moving.
El Suave wants to sweep but no luck.

Thomas with a flurry of punches that miss.
Thomas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. El Suave swivels though and keeps the full guard.

El Suave lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
