Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike McCallum!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCallum shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Max defends it nicely.

McCallum drives through with a takedown into Max's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

McCallum thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
McCallum loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McCallum accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Max utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
McCallum is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McCallum postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Max has momentary wrist control but McCallum slips an elbow through the middle.
McCallum scoring with some ground and pound.

It looks like Michael Max has been cut.

Max is working an open guard so McCallum takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

McCallum is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Max's half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCallum slips a nice elbow through Max's hands, connecting with Max's forehead.
McCallum thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

McCallum is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
McCallum thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Max's head.
McCallum looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Michael Max's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
McCallum works his foot free and advances to mount.
McCallum lands a heavy elbow.

Jeez, Michael Max's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Michael Max's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
