Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between MSgt. Ernest G. Bilko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ernest G. Bilko and Sean Brophy. Sean Brophy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, MSgt. Ernest G. Bilko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Brophy!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brophy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bilko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bilko checks a leg kick.
Brophy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bilko swings for the body but Brophy moves out of range.
Bilko chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Brophy tries to land a leg kick but Bilko saw it coming and moves away.
Brophy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bilko misses with an uppercut. Brophy saw that one coming.
Bilko looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Brophy thuds his right hand into Bilko's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Bilko throws a jab but it's blocked by Brophy.
Brophy moves out of range of the strikes.
An inside leg kick lands from Bilko.
Brophy throws a nice inside leg kick.
Brophy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Bilko misses with a right hand
and Brophy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bilko takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bilko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brophy.
Bilko throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brophy on the side of the head.
Bilko looks for a takedown but Brophy sprawls well.
Bilko misses the jab.
MSgt. Ernest G. Bilko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bilko misses with a body kick.
The crowd cheers as Bilko lands an impressive looking overhand right. Brophy doesn't seem phased though.
Bilko tries to clinch but Brophy moves out of range.
Bilko throws a head kick that misses.
Bilko scores with a hook to the body. Brophy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bilko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brophy sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Bilko lands a leg kick that knocks Brophy off balance momentarily.

Bilko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brophy was covering up waiting for the punch and Bilko finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brophy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Brophy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bilko controls the pace.
Brophy wants to stand up but Bilko is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brophy wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bilko stands and throws Brophy's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
An elbow from Bilko crashes against the mat.
Brophy sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Brophy has one foot on Bilko's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Brophy just misses with a punch to the body.
Bilko lands a slapping body shot.
Brophy ducks under a wild hook from Bilko.
Brophy throws a poor cross that misses
letting Bilko counter with a right hand.
Bilko fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Brophy is out of range.
Bilko shoots in for a takedown but Brophy shows good takedown defense.
Bilko slips under a jab.
Brophy misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brophy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Bilko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brophy is trying to defend but Bilko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Brophy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bilko not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bilko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bilko prevents Brophy from standing back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bilko wants to take a breather but Brophy is having none of it.
Brophy is looking for a sweep. Bilko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Brophy wants to get back to full guard but Bilko has mounted him!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Brophy takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bilko.
Bilko throws a lazy uppercut
and Brophy counters with a straight right hand.
Bilko misses with a body shot
and Brophy counters with a stiff right hand.

Bilko closes the distance and clinches.

Brophy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bilko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Bilko closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brophy to the mat! Brophy manages to get full guard.
Brophy wants to stand but Bilko is controlling the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bilko lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Bilko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Brophy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bilko regains half guard.
Bilko tries to kick Brophy off but Brophy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Brophy is controlling the pace.
Bilko tries to roll over but Brophy keeps him under control.

Brophy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bilko's head.

Brophy wants to get up but he can't break Bilko's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bilko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bilko just misses with a punch to the body.
Bilko scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Bilko stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brophy.
Bilko scores with a kick to the body.
Bilko uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brophy.

Brophy on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bilko shoots in but no luck this time.
Bilko takes a swing at Brophy's ribcage but misses.
Bilko walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Brophy checks a leg kick.
Brophy tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bilko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brophy moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bilko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for MSgt. Ernest G. Bilko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brophy misses with a hook. Bilko ducked under it nicely.
Brophy throws a big shot that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Bilko lands a lovely overhand right.

and Brophy counters with a straight right hand.
Bilko throws a low kick but Brophy avoids it.
Bilko closes the distance and clinches up with Brophy, looking for a takedown. Bilko pushes Brophy against the cage but Brophy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brophy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bilko takes a swing at Brophy's ribcage but misses.
Bilko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bilko fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for MSgt. Ernest G. Bilko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bilko does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Brophy lands a glancing blow to the side of Bilko's head.
Brophy moves away from the strike by Bilko.
Bilko gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

A slow jab from Brophy misses its intended target.
Brophy misses with a looping left.
Brophy throws a shot from downtown. Bilko moves away and avoids it.
A head kick misses from Brophy.
Brophy throws out a loose jab but Bilko uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bilko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brophy.

Bilko closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brophy to the mat! Brophy manages to get full guard.
Bilko is stalling in the full guard.
Bilko slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sean Brophy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bilko throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Brophy works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Brophy tries to kick Bilko off in order to stand up. Bilko Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Bilko is looking to take a break and control but Brophy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bilko cracks Brophy with a big elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bilko lands some shots froms side control.
Bilko trying to control the action but Brophy is working from the bottom.
Brophy bucks up and tries to throw Bilko off but instead Bilko has got his back!
Brophy covering up well under a barage of strikes.
MSgt. Ernest G. Bilko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bilko is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Bilko gets his hands free as Brophy looks to control.
Brophy trying to get back to his feet but Bilko is in full control for now.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Bilko controlling the positon.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bilko's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
