The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanoa misses the shot to the body.
Kanoa pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kanoa swats away the attempt to clinch by Lavrov.
No joy there for Lavrov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lavrov misses with a straight right.
Lavrov misses with an uppercut
and Kanoa counters with a nice uppercut.
Lavrov avoids a kick to the body.
Kanoa shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Lavrov slips under a jab.
Lavrov avoids the body shot from Kanoa.
Lavrov is looking to clinch but Kanoa is avoiding it.

Lavrov forces Kanoa back against the cage and clinches.
Lavrov lands with a short shot to the head.
Lavrov using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kanoa has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kanoa can't break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kanoa wants to get back to striking at distance but Lavrov won't allow it.

Lavrov attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Lavrov looks to throw the jab but Kanoa is out of range.

Kanoa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lavrov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Lavrov walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Kanoa stalks Lavrov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lavrov's face. Lavrov staggers backwards, shaken.

and Kanoa counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Lavrov! He's just covering up as Kanoa starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
