Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rebaldo Louza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Auron Almasy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Almasy's choice of entrance music: Ram Jam - Black Betty. Rebaldo Louza has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rebaldo Louza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Auron Almasy!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almasy leaves Louza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Almasy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Louza misses with a takedown
enabling Almasy to counter with a crisp jab.
Louza shoots for a double leg takedown but Almasy sprawls well. He's pushed Louza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rebaldo Louza. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Louza closes the distance and clinches.
Almasy lands a left hand that snaps the head of Louza backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Almasy.
Almasy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Almasy lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Almasy swings wildly with an uppercut but Louza uses good head movement to avoid it.

Almasy struggles to land a body shot inside as Louza controls his hands.
Almasy is looking to break free of the clinch but Louza has double underhooks.

Louza gets control of Almasy's arms and successfully pulls guard. Louza will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Almasy wants to stand but Louza is controlling his posture from full guard.

Louza isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Almasy stacks Louza on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Almasy!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Louza tries to score a power double leg takedown but Almasy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Louza somewhat.

Almasy scores with a jab. Louza acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Auron Almasy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Almasy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Louza.
Almasy throws a series of punches but Louza moves out of range.
Louza tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Almasy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Louza takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Almasy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Louza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Almasy pinned against the ropes. Almasy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rebaldo Louza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Louza uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Almasy.

Louza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Almasy's waist but Almasy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Louza off to one side.
Almasy connects with a nice looking jab.
Almasy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Almasy lands a jab to the head.
Sloppy strikes from Louza. Those never looked like landing.
Almasy stuffs the takedown attempt from Louza. Louza gets slowly back to his feet.
Louza's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Almasy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Louza scrambles back to his feet.
Almasy misses with an uppercut. Louza saw that one coming.
Almasy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Louza fails with a takedown attempt.
Louza uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Almasy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Almasy clobbers Louza with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Louza shoots in but no luck this time.
Louza fails with the takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Louza fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Almasy avoids it really well and circles away.

Louza shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Louza showed some decent athleticism there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Louza is working for a submission of some sort.

Louza looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Louza is keen to just control but Almasy is a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Almasy is trying to maintain the position but Louza is very close to passing his half guard.

Louza is looking for a kimura but Almasy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Louza to get the leverage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Louza wants to work for an arm triangle but Almasy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Louza wants to advance to full mount but Almasy doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Auron Almasy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Louza shoots for a takedown but Almasy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Almasy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Almasy cracks Louza with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Louza looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Almasy finish him?

Louza fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Almasy avoids it really well and circles away.
Oh Louza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Almasy connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Louza out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Auron Almasy!
