The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crews.
Crews shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Karlsson counters by moving into the clinch.

Karlsson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Crews can't fight it off and eventually Karlsson manages to take the fight to the floor. Crews looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Karlsson won't allow Crews to sweep him here.
Karlsson wants to control from the top but Crews keeps moving.
Karlsson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Karlsson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crews swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Stig Karlsson.
Crews fails in his attempt to clinch.
Karlsson throws a head kick but Crews moves out of range.

Crews is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Karlsson has his hands clasped together but Crews extends an breaks Karlsson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Crews.
