Smith has chosen Sakuraba's Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson connects with an inside leg kick.
Smith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Smith avoids a kick to the body.

and Lawson makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Smith really felt that one!
Lawson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Lawson scores with a hook to the body. Smith takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Lawson feints and then cracks Smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smith down.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith is looking to clinch but Lawson is avoiding it.

Smith throws a lazy right hand but Lawson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Billy Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Logan Lawson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smith tries to clinch but Lawson moves away
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lawson is looking for a sweep.
Sloppy strikes there by Smith.
Lawson is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it.
Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Smith is putting a hurting on Lawson here, landing some big shots from side control.
Lawson can't do much from the bottom here.
Lawson is breathing heavily.
Smith misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Smith has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Lawson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Smith yanks on the arm and Lawson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Smith.

Billy Smith spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
