Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Walter Sobchak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Cowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Anderson Cowell was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Walter Sobchak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Cowell!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobchak stuffs the takedown attempt from Cowell. Cowell gets slowly back to his feet.
Cowell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sobchak moves away.
Sobchak throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Cowell dives in and scores a takedown into Sobchak's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cowell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sobchak looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Cowell trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sobchak might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cowell is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cowell drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Cowell seems to have locked his on tight now - Sobchak screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Cowell, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Anderson Cowell!
