Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melendez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is El Coo Cooi . Morrison is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Alive. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tommy Morrison was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Morrison!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison misses with a head kick.
Morrison throws a head kick but Melendez moves out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Melendez.
Melendez scores with a hook to the body. Morrison takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Melendez checks a low kick from Morrison.
Melendez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Morrison drops Melendez with a beautiful combination! Melendez stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Morrison is looking for the KO!

It looks like Xavier Melendez has been cut.

Oh Melendez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Morrison is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Melendez shoots in looking for a takedown but Morrison manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Melendez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Morrison counters with a nice right hand that sends Melendez toppling to the canvas! Melendez scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Morrison finish him?!

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Morrison takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Melendez jumps guard and drags Morrison to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Melendez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Morrison gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Melendez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Morrison circles away.
Morrison connects with a single shot there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tommy Morrison dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Xavier Melendez's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Melendez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Morrison - the referee stops the clock and Melendez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Morrison. Melendez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Morrison has cracked Melendez with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Morrison lands another huge swinging hook and Melendez tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Melendez, before Morrison can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tommy Morrison!
