Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Terry Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Qualls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noah Qualls!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tate dives in and scores a takedown into Qualls's guard.
Qualls working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tate.
Tate throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Qualls works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Qualls is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tate defends well.
Tate works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Qualls looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Tate takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Qualls wants to get back to full guard.
Tate seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Qualls does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Qualls on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Qualls takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Tate wants to control but Qualls is keeping him busy.

Qualls has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Tate escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Tate!

Qualls tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tate wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Qualls is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Qualls tries to get to full guard but Tate has control of the leg.
Qualls is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Qualls is staying active underneath Tate, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tate looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Tate seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Qualls does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tate slips a nice elbow through Qualls's hands, connecting with Qualls's forehead.
Qualls tries to get to full guard but Tate has control of the leg.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tate connects with a nice short shot to Qualls's temple.

Tate lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Qualls tries to get to full guard but Tate has control of the leg.

Qualls looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Tate looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Tate seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Tate is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Qualls reverses the position - he's now on top in Tate's guard.
Qualls tries to free his leg and advance position but Tate is retaining full guard.
Tate tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Qualls is looking to work some ground and pound but Tate has wrist control.
Tate manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Qualls is looking to improve his position but Tate isn't that keen on the idea.
Tate trying to control but he's not successful this time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Qualls sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Tate lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Qualls looking for submissions off his back.
Tate uses his free foot to push down on Qualls's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Qualls.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Tate shoots for a takedown but Qualls saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Qualls looks to land a right hand but Tate moved out of range.
Tate throws a nice inside leg kick.

Qualls checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Tate shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Qualls as he jumps to the side.
Qualls looks to land a left hand but Tate moved out of range nicely.
Tate is looking to chop away at Qualls's legs.
Qualls tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tate swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tate throws a body kick that misses.
Tate misses with a body kick.
Qualls tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tate manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Qualls lands a head shot.
Tate steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Qualls.
Tate fakes the leg kick and cracks Qualls in the body.
Tate bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Tate scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Noah Qualls is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A punch combination from Qualls misses.
Qualls is breathing heavily.
Tate closes the distance and clinches up with Qualls, looking for a takedown. Tate pushes Qualls against the cage but Qualls circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tate got a little sloppy there for a moment and Qualls has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tate has managed to get both his arms back between Qualls's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
