Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Domanick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nanos Perdatov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz comes into the arena with Show Goes On - Lupe Fiasco blaring out of the sound system. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz shoots in but Perdatov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cruz throws a nice looking combination but Perdatov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cruz stuffs the takedown attempt from Perdatov. Perdatov gets slowly back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Cruz. Those never looked like landing.
Perdatov avoids a punch combination nicely.

Perdatov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Perdatov keeps control of Cruz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Cruz manages to break the clinch.
Cruz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Perdatov defends it nicely.
Perdatov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cruz avoids it really well and circles away.
Cruz throws a head kick but Perdatov moves out of range.

Domanick Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A combination from Cruz does no damage.
Cruz scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Cruz throws a left and a right that both miss

and Perdatov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cruz won't be happy with that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Perdatov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Perdatov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Cruz is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Perdatov advances to full mount.

Perdatov working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Cruz looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Perdatov! Submission of the night perhaps?
