Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gary Caps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doblez Mundo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Gary Caps has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gary Caps seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mundo thuds his right hand into Caps's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Mundo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Caps gets the takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mundo is trying to get back to half guard.
Caps wants to control but Mundo is keeping him busy.
Mundo is trying to get back to half guard.
Mundo is trying to control Caps's posture but Caps avoids it.
Mundo regains half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Caps is looking for a kimura but Mundo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Caps to get the leverage.
Mundo wants to control but Caps is keeping busy.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mundo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Caps landing with the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mundo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Caps stacks Mundo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Caps!

Caps is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mundo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mundo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Caps wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Mundo looks gassed!

Caps looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mundo can't do much from the bottom here.

Caps working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Mundo wants to control but Caps postures up.

Caps is trying to get an arm triangle but Mundo is defending well.
Caps working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Mundo manages to get back to half guard.

Caps is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mundo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caps. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Caps is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Caps is thwarting Mundo's attempts to control the position.

Mundo is trying to get back to full guard.
Mundo is breathing heavily.

Caps works his foot free and advances to mount.
Mundo is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Caps cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Caps postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mundo looks a forlorn figure.

Caps has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Mundo is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gary Caps!
