Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark Kent will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mr Small!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Small throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kent tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Small is in Kent's guard.
Kent utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Small. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kent is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Small is controlling him.
Small wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kent throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Small takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kent clobbers Small with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


It looks like Mr Small has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Small takes a jab right on the kisser.

Kent drops Small with a right and a left! Kent comes rushing in but Small regains his composure and manages to keep Kent in guard.

Small is working an open guard so Kent takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kent dives in and grabs Small's left leg, looking for a takedown. Small pushes down on Kent's head and hops out.

Small keeping moving, preventing Kent from controlling successfully.

Small looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Kent trying to control but Small is working from the bottom.
Small might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kent trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Clark Kent wasn't active enough on the ground.

Small slips a jab and a cross from Kent.
Kent misses with a few strikes there.
Kent scores with a spinning back kick!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kent has Small pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Small manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Kent has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Small is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Mr Small has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clark Kent.

Kent manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Small is looking to work some ground and pound but Kent has wrist control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kent trying to keep a closed guard but Small is proving a slippery customer.
Small seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kent scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kent throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kent.
Kent lands a glancing blow to the side of Small's head.
Kent turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kent closes the distance and lands a one-two.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kent ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kent stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kent wants it to stay on the feet.
Clark Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kent.
Small takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

A big head kick from Kent and Small is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Mr Small overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kent postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Small has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Clark Kent has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Small showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kent.
Small tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kent swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Small walks into a stiff left hand from Kent.
Kent is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Kent gets caught flat footed, as Small shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Small with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Small lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Small in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kent looking to hit a scissor sweep but Small is one step ahead there.

Clark Kent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Kent throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Small.
Kent fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Small takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Kent lands a big head kick that sends Small to the canvas! Kent follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
