The Russian comes into the arena with Keep on blaring out of the sound system. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Jones wants to control but The Russian is keeping him busy.
The Russian is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones is looking to advance position but The Russian won't allow it.

The Russian is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can The Russian avoid being mounted?

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
The Russian doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
The Russian tries a head kick but it misses.

It looks like Bubba Jones has been cut.

The Russian lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jones's sensitive parts.
Good leg kick by The Russian there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The Russian throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The Russian tries to land a knee to the head but Jones blocks with his arms.
Jones is trying to break free.

Jones has picked The Russian up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Jones is keen to just control but The Russian is a slippery customer.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Russian's head.
The Russian has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.
Jones wants to take a breather but The Russian is having none of it.

Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but The Russian does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but The Russian is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jones looks to land a combination. The Russian sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Jones walks into a stiff left hand from The Russian.

Whack! The Russian lands a heavy head kick that drops Jones. The ref tackles The Russian to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Jones was done.
