The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paquiao misses with a looping left.
McDonald blocks a jab.

Paquiao is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McDonald.

Paquiao is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McDonald misses with a wild body shot.
McDonald ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paquiao moves away.

Paquiao leaves McDonald with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

McDonald is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Paquiao has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Paquiao!
McDonald is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Paquiao really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McDonald. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Paquiao got a little sloppy there for a moment and McDonald has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Paquiao has managed to get both his arms back between McDonald's legs - danger averted.

McDonald has his foot on Paquiao's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Paquiao works his way back into a safe position though.

Oh but McDonald is tightening it up a little... Paquiao has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Paquiao reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Paquiao taps out! Nice BJJ there by McDonald!
