These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thorne throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kanuuna tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Thorne is in Kanuuna's guard.

A big strike lands for Thorne! That's really hurt Kanuuna and he's turned his back - Thorne keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Thorne jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
