Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Gordeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Twardowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gordeau has Twardowski up against the cage in a clinch.
Twardowski tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gordeau smiles and moves away.
Twardowski shoots for a double leg takedown but Gordeau sprawls well. He's pushed Twardowski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Twardowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gordeau dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gordeau bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Twardowski's head.

It looks like Adam Twardowski has been cut.
Twardowski wants to clinch but Gordeau slips to the side

and Gordeau holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Gordeau is trying to break the clinch but Twardowski has him pressed against the cage.
Twardowski tries to score a body lock takedown but Gordeau shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Gerard Gordeau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Twardowski.
Gordeau lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Twardowski.

Twardowski keeps control of Gordeau as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gordeau tries to circle away but Twardowski has him pinned against the cage.
Gordeau throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Twardowskis head.

Gordeau pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That has opened up Adam Twardowski's cut even more.
Gordeau throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Twardowski crashing down! Twardowski tries to stagger back to his feet but Gordeau just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Twardowski asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
