The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Marcus Royster hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

It looks like Marcus Royster has been cut.
Menezes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Royster sprawls well. Royster wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Menezes gets slowly back to his feet.

Menezes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Royster on the ground.
Menezes scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Royster manages to mount him!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Menezes stops Royster from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Royster lands a left and a right that send Menezes crashing to the mat, dazed. Royster thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Royster swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Royster is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Menezes rather than just go for the knockout.
Royster connects with a right that clearly hurt Menezes. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Royster proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Menezes collapses and taps out under the pressure!
