The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Embrett.
Embrett looks to land a combination but zinger avoids it well.
Embrett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Embrett tries to bum rush zinger with a series of wild strikes but zinger uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
zinger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Embrett's waist but Embrett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing zinger off to one side.
Embrett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Embrett throws a right hand that zinger ducks under and follows up with a left that zinger also avoids with ease.

zinger forces his way into half guard.
Embrett is not content to let zinger control the position.
Embrett is trying to maintain the position but zinger is very close to passing his half guard.
Embrett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

zinger decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

zinger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Embrett sprawls well initially but zinger persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
zinger is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Embrett is breathing heavily.
zinger tries to control but Embrett wriggling away.

Embrett pushes zinger off looking to stand but zinger dives back in and keeps control.
Embrett is looking for a sweep. zinger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
