The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson shoots in but Saarinen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Saarinen thuds a left hand into Nelson's body.
Nelson looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nelson has his takedown stuffed
and Saarinen moves into the clinch.
Saarinen manages to break the clinch.
Saarinen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nelson was covering up waiting for the punch and Saarinen finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Saarinen with a flurry of punches that miss.
Nelson is looking for a triangle but Saarinen pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saarinen is working Nelson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Nelson is rocked!
Saarinen gets to his feet and stands over Nelson, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Nelson felt that one! Saarinen unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Nelson from any more punishment!
