Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roger Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Braida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Braida's choice of entrance music: Here I am. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brian Braida was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Braida!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braida moves in looking to clinch but Marsden pushes him off.
Marsden throws a series of punches but Braida avoids them all with ease.
Marsden connects with a single shot there.
Braida needs to keep his hands up - Marsden had a free shot at his head there.
Braida shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Marsden throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Marsden uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Marsden moves into the clinch.

Braida pulls Marsden into guard.
Marsden will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Braida keeping moving, preventing Marsden from controlling successfully.

Marsden drops back looking for a leg! Braida is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Braida manages to kick Marsden off! Marsden jumps back into Braida's guard.

Marsden drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Braida dives on top into guard.

Marsden has momentary wrist control but Braida slips an elbow through the middle.
Braida is in close to Marsden's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Marsden had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Braida defends it easily.

Marsden has his foot on Braida's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Braida works his way back into a safe position though.
Braida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marsden swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marsden wants to sweep here but Braida controlling him for the moment.

Marsden is looking to sinch up a triangle. Braida throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Marsden's body to avoid the submission. Marsden has instead reached around Braida's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Marsden arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
