Jabeer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mendes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jabeer is fending him off so far but Mendes persists. Nope, Jabeer circles away and we're back to standing.
Mendes shoots and misses
and Jabeer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jabeer.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jabeer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mendes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jabeer has managed to get both his arms back between Mendes's legs - danger averted.
Mendes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jabeer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
