The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre fails to land with a series of punches.
A right-left combo lands from Pierre.
Pierre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beebe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pierre stuffs the takedown.
Pierre swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pierre throws a right and a left that Beebe avoids nicely.
Pierre misses with a series of wild punches.
Pierre throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beebe.
Some wild striking there from Pierre.
Horrible takedown by Beebe or perhaps it was just good defense by Pierre which made him look bad.
Beebe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pierre swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chase Beebe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A combination from Beebe does no damage.
Sloppy strikes from Pierre. Those never looked like landing.
Pierre throws a left and a right that both miss

and Beebe counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Beebe manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Pierre wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Beebe's closed guard. He's half up but Beebe has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Beebe pivots and extends the arm, Pierre falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Beebe! Well done that man!
