With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hamilton Eslay!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halperin throws a right and a left that Eslay avoids nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Halperin.
Eslay looks to throw the jab but Halperin is out of range.
Eslay pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Halperin stuns Eslay with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Eslay throws a series of strikes that have Halperin backpedaling.

It looks like Daniel Halperin has been cut.
Eslay misses with a straight left.
Eslay's corner calls for a 1-2. Eslay obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Halperin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Halperin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Eslay throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eslay has his foot on Halperin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Halperin works his way back into a safe position though.

Halperin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eslay has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Halperin has managed to get both his arms back between Eslay's legs - danger averted.

Halperin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Halperin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Halperin wants to pass the guard but Eslay is keeping the position.

Eslay is looking for a triangle but Halperin pushes his legs off easily.
Halperin stands and throws Eslay's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Eslay is trying to control Halperin's posture but Halperin avoids it.
Halperin in side control lands a decent elbow.
Eslay is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Halperin tries for a kimura but Eslay is defending well.
Halperin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Halperin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Eslay knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Eslay is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Halperin lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Eslay wants to hold on but Halperin pushes him away.
Eslay is in all sorts of trouble here.
Halperin lands with some strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Halperin ducks under a wild hook from Eslay.
Eslay slips a jab and a cross from Halperin.
A head kick from Halperin lands but Eslay takes it in his stride.
A left and a right from Eslay both land. Nice combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Halperin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Halperin there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Eslay counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Halperin thinking.
Oh Halperin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Eslay misses with a looping right.
Eslay cracks Halperin on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Halperin falls backwards against the cage. Eslay follows up with more strikes that drop Halperin to his knees. Eslay keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Halperin! This one is all over!
