The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxer lands with a right hand.
Boxer throws a push kick but Tavarez slaps the foot to one side.
Good work by Boxer as he checks the leg kick.
Tavarez lands with a nice combination. Boxer backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Joe Boxer has been cut.
Boxer thuds his right hand into Tavarez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Boxer throws a leg kick which misses Tavarez's front leg but catches the back leg as Tavarez tries to avoid it.
Boxer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Boxer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tavarez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Tavarez lands with a nice combination. Boxer backs away looking to recover.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boxer connects with a leg kick. Tavarez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Boxer uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tavarez has time to react.
Tavarez gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Boxer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tavarez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boxer is looking to score with low kicks.
Tavarez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Boxer moves in looking to clinch but Tavarez pushes him off.
Boxer misses with a hook
and Tavarez counters with a nice body shot.
Nice shot lands for Boxer.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boxer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boxer tries to clinch but Tavarez moves out of range.
Boxer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Boxer walks straight into a right hand from Tavarez - that's dropped him! Tavarez jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Boxer from any more punishment! Boxer complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Sol Tavarez really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sublime Supplements logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
