Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charon Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Walker might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Doors - Peace Frog. Charon Hawkins acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charon Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins with a poor takedown
and Walker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hawkins on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hawkins tries to clinch up
and Hawkins takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hawkins wants to clinch

and Walker counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Walker tries to pass to full mount but Hawkins defends it.
Hawkins moves into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hawkins keeping moving, preventing Walker from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Walker.

Walker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Walker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hawkins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Walker creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Hawkins tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Hawkins takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Walker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hawkins is trying to improve his position.
Walker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Walker lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hawkins down.
Walker wants to control but Hawkins is keeping him busy.
Walker scores with a couple of short elbows.

Walker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Walker is looking to take a break and control but Hawkins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Walker looks up at the clock and then as Hawkins takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Walker smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Hawkins wants to control but Walker postures up.
Hawkins sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Hawkins wants to improve his position but Walker is controlling well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hawkins on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Walker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hawkins keeps working.

Hawkins looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walker is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Walker jabs Hawkins right on the nose. Hawkins blinks but takes it well.
Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hawkins moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hawkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hawkins moves in looking to clinch but Walker pushes him off.
Hawkins wants to clinch up but Walker keeps it at a distance.
Hawkins shoots and misses
letting Walker counter with a right hand.
Hawkins tries to close the distance and clinch but Walker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hawkins tries to clinch up
and Walker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hawkins thinking.
Walker throws a hook but Hawkins blocks it.

Hawkins moves to clinch but Walker breaks away
letting Walker counter with a right hand.
Walker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

and Walker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hawkins wants to clinch but Walker slips to the side
and Walker counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Hawkins moves to clinch but Walker breaks away
and Walker counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Walker throws a series of punches but Hawkins moves out of range.
Hawkins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Walker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Walker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hawkins on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Walker lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hawkins's sensitive parts.

Walker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Walker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Walker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The referee warns Hawkins that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Hawkins is looking to improve his position but Walker isn't that keen on the idea.
Hawkins is trying to reverse the position but instead Walker has taken his back - oops!

Jack Walker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Walker has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hawkins's body.

Hawkins is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Walker cracks Hawkins with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Hawkins from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Walker connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Hawkins to escape the position.
Walker tries to keep control of the position but Hawkins is staying busy.
Hawkins is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Walker off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

The referee is taking a good look at Hawkins as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Walker!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Walker shoots in but no luck this time.
Hawkins closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Walker to counter with a crisp jab.

and Walker counters with a body kick.
Hawkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Walker tries to avoid it but Hawkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Walker to the ground. Walker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walker fails to land with a series of punches.
Hawkins looks for a takedown but Walker sprawls well.
Walker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hawkins.

Walker drives through with a takedown into Hawkins's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Walker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hawkins can do to turn this around?

Hawkins looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Walker has picked Hawkins up and slammed him! Hawkins can't keep hold of the triangle and Walker manages to pass to side control!
Walker cracks Hawkins with a big right hand but Hawkins just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hawkins is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Walker is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Hawkins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Walker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


It looks like Charon Hawkins has been cut.
Hawkins is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hawkins is bucking up trying to escape but Walker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Walker trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Walker is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hawkins is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Hawkins takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Walker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Walker wants to control the pace but Hawkins is squirming around nicely.
