Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Macku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Macku.
It looks like Carlos Gracie has been cut.
Macku misses with a head kick.
Gracie tries to clinch but Macku is having none of it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gracie.
Gracie walks forward, straight into a front kick from Macku.
Gracie lands with a nice combination. Macku backs away looking to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Macku misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Macku dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gracie. That did some damage!
Gracie looks gassed!
Macku moves away from the strike by Gracie.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Macku tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Macku to the ground. Macku escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Macku swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Macku pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Macku throws a shot to the body.
Macku scores with a shot to the body.
Macku lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.
Macku moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Donk. Macku catches Gracie right on the button with a cross.
Macku lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.
Macku lands with a hook. Gracie tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That has opened up Carlos Gracie's cut even more.
An inside leg kick lands from Macku.
Macku fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gracie on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Macku fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gracie.
Macku closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Gracie! Macku dives in looking to finish! Gracie is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Macku!
