Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julle Bulle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenjiro Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanaka comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Seek and Destroy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bulle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tanaka's waist but Tanaka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bulle off to one side.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tanaka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bulle sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bulle tries to land a leg kick but Tanaka saw it coming and moves away.
Bulle fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tanaka sprawls well initially but Bulle persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bulle in particular looking to stall.

Julle Bulle has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Bulle lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Tanaka misses the jab.
Bulle misses with a takedown attempt - Tanaka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Bulle counters with a single leg into guard. Tanaka didn't expect that.
Bulle looking to sit in guard and control but Tanaka gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Tanaka wants to stand but Bulle has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Tanaka stands up and waves to Bulle to follow him.
Bulle shoots in for a takedown but Tanaka shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bulle, right into the meat.
Bulle throws a nice looking combination but Tanaka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Tanaka uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bulle.
The fighters circling - Tanaka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bulle keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bulle shoots for a takedown but Tanaka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Bulle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Tanaka counters with a nice uppercut.
Tanaka is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Tanaka lands with a cross.

Tanaka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tanaka wants it to stay on the feet.

Bulle works over Tanaka's head and body with a nice combination.
Tanaka is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bulle.
Tanaka might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Bulle dives in and scores a takedown into Tanaka's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tanaka is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bulle is controlling him.

That was a close round but I would say that Julle Bulle will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Bulle closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tanaka quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tanaka wants to get back to his feet.
Bulle seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Julle Bulle.
Bulle shoots for a takedown but Tanaka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tanaka misses with a left hand
and Bulle counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
