Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arik Leoniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin The Young Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melvin The Young Assassin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Young Assassin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Leoniel backs up against the cage.
The Young Assassin stuffs the takedown attempt from Leoniel. Leoniel gets slowly back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Leoniel.
Leoniel tries for a takedown but The Young Assassin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

It looks like Arik Leoniel has been cut.
The Young Assassin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Leoniel eats them both and turns towards The Young Assassin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Leoniel shoots in looking for a takedown. The Young Assassin tries to sprawl out of it but Leoniel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. The Young Assassin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Leoniel lands a nice short elbow.

Leoniel uses his free foot to push down on The Young Assassin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for The Young Assassin.
