The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards drives through with a takedown into guard.
Richards drops back looking for a leg! Semlan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Semlan manages to kick Richards off! Richards jumps back into Semlan's guard.
Semlan wants to control but Richards passes easily into half guard.
Richards missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Richards is working for a kimura but Semlan is defending it quite comfortably.
Richards is looking to advance position but Semlan won't allow it.
Richards throwing shots but Semlan is blocking nicely.
Semlan wants to improve his position but Richards is controlling well.

Semlan has left one of his arms exposed and Richards doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Semlan screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
