Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marco Criss!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vera looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Criss is fending him off so far but Vera persists. Nope, Criss circles away and we're back to standing.
Vera dodges the punch combination from Criss.
Criss misses with a two punch combination.
Criss lands with a right hand.
Criss tries to bum rush Vera with a series of wild strikes but Vera uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Vera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Criss tries to avoid it but Vera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Criss to the ground. Criss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Criss keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Vera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Criss throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vera pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Criss throws a right hand that Vera ducks under and follows up with a left that Vera also avoids with ease.
Criss fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Criss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vera.
Criss lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Vera backs up against the cage.

It looks like Brandon Vera has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Criss swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Vera fails with a takedown attempt.

Criss fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Vera is breathing heavily.
Criss lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Criss scores with a decent looking hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vera tries to clinch up.
Criss throws a series of punches but Vera moves out of range.
Vera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Criss wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Criss throws a right and a left that Vera avoids nicely.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Vera. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Vera closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Criss dips to his left and cracks Vera with an uppercut!
Marco Criss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vera takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vera slips a jab and a cross from Criss.
Vera takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Marco Criss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Criss lands with a right that hurts Vera. Vera looks to clinch but Criss throws a short knee that drops Vera. This one is all over!
